I officially joined #teamiphone and have been enjoying the experience, but now that I have started with the apps I am so involved. So I decided that I will be periodically sharing the apps that I am using. The apps I am using this week are Tweegram, Instagram , and Voxer.
Ok tweegram let you personalize ur message with different backgrounds and you can add pictures and it will post to facebook, twitter, tumblr and instagram and a few other social network. Voxer turns your phone into a walkie talkie where U can send voice and picture message. If you ever had a nextel phone it will remind you of PTT. Last but not least is Instagram its like Tumblr but iphone exclusive. You can share the pictures with friends and family and you followers. Those are the apps that I am fancy on.

I AM MIDDLE CLASS AMERICA!!!!
(pics courtesy of TRISH ELISE)
More than 45,000 workers are on strike today at Verizon Communications. Bargaining continues. Since bargaining began on June 22, Verizon has refused to move from a long list of concession demands. As the contract expired, nearly 100 concessionary company proposals remained on the table. As a result, CWA and IBEW have decided to take the unprecedented step of striking until Verizon stops its Wisconsin-style tactics and starts bargaining seriously.Even at the 11th hour, as contracts were set to expire, Verizon continued to seek to strip away 50 years of collective bargaining gains for middle class workers and their familiesCWA and IBEW members are prepared to return to work when management demonstrates the willingness to begin bargaining seriously for a fair agreement. If not, CWA and IBEW members and allies will continue the fight.
I AM MIDDLE CLASS AMERICA!
DAY 1
@ 1 AM I received a call advising me that CWA/IBEW were on strike against Verizon. That the negotiations went south and that the two parties are no longer at the table. I was a little shocked only because I felt as though we would work with out a contract until they came to an agreement. My mind is going a million miles a minute I am trying to get focused. I have 4 people who are also affected by this....my children. So no matter what I have to be strong. I go to look at facebook and Twitter through out the day and see that Verizon is a trending topic. SO the word is out. I read some of the post which are inspirational some just hateful. This is going to be a real fight. I am a christian and believer in prayer so I give it to GOD and log off.
DAY 2
Today is my 35 th birthday. O what a blessing. I am happy to be able to see another year. I wont be getting teh royal treatment today I am getting my family ready for a rally at the chesapekae complex. I will spend my birthday on on the picket line fighting for my job. My oldest daughter had to work and its to hot to have the baby out so I take him to daycare. My sister who ALWAYS supports me comes to my house with her red shirt on and camera ready, I have 2 of my 4 children with me so lets go and make some noise. When we arrive to the Rally its a sea of red shirts , its actually a good feeling to see that alot of people came out. I didnt expect this many people to take it serious. I see many of my co -workers from my office and some from other departments that I know. My daughter leans over and says " Ma this is real important huh"? I smile and shake my head yes! My sister understands and jumps in taking pictures and video. She knows that I will ALWAYS have other options but it shold be on my own terms. We walk we chant we scream CWA.... WHAT DO WANT?....... A CONTRACT.... WHEN DO WE WANT IT?.....NOW!!!!!
DAY3
Today I go the gym and do the 30 minute work-out and call about my account. Wow my bill is simple and the person couldnt explain my bill to me. WHAT A MESS! I spent some time with my youngest daughter and I prepare to walk the line tomorrow!
Day 4
Today I went to picket a Verizon Wireless store. There is an issue with wireless not being specific on the signs so we are unable to do that the police makes us move. So off to Ballys I go. Eliptical gets this stress today, and a 30 minute work out that helps me with the frustration
DAY 5
I get up early and take my youngest to the daycare. I have my oldest and youngest daughters with me they are prepared to walk the line. Whenwe get there my daughter jump right in the circle screaming CWA and learning the cadences in no time. we walk and walk and scream and sing and walk some more. I am looking around and its alot of families out there. Middle Class America is READY praying we all hold strong!
DAY 6
I get to the line to complete my last hour and man its amazing how things change in 24 hours the police now are there and there is no more minute wait. A director has hit someone on the line and emotions are REALLY running high. So now Verizon security is present along with police. WOW! this is the 1st week. Scab List is out MAN O MAN!
Day 7
I am updating my Negelected Blogging duties with all that has happen I have been a nin existent presence that not good. Well what better to wriet about than what happening in my life in REAL TIME. I plan to relax today and enjoy family becuase some people will fall off and cross the line and I may need to give a few extra hours so that its an extra body on the line. The bodies of the missing mother and Child have been found....UGH!!!!
Ok I am so tired of people killing these innocent children. The bodies of Wynetta Wright and her 1 year old daughter Jaylin have been found. The bodies were found on June 2.2011 Wynetta was found in the woods and the Jaylin in her car seat in the car. The police have 39 year old Richmond Phillips in custody and he has been charged with the murders of Wynetta and Jaylin. Richmond Phillips a DC narcotics officer is the father of Jaylin. Mr Phillips who has a wife and a 12 year old daughter was upset about a paternity and child support case that was pending. They were to go to court the day after Wynetta and the baby disappeared. Mr Phillip’s wife was not aware of the affair or his 1 year old daughter. NOW IF YOU ASK ME!!!!! Mr Phillips is a coward who deserves in my opinion to be tortured daily for taking the life of an innocent 1 year old little girl. He played the game and procreated it is what it is. She did not ask for him to not wear a condom for her to be born, furthermore if you were going to court it was already documented( U would think that he would know this being a police office and all) HE made that decision so to fix his mistake he ended her life. LOSER! Now in prison as a narcotics officer and child murderer his time there should be interesting HA!!!! OK I am sorry for the obvious anger and sarcasm but what is the world really coming to where all you see is dead children in the news?

WhErE wErE yOu BoRn?
So there was all this fuss about the birth place of President Barack Obama. So that it was called “the birther movement” People ranted raved that he needed to show us his birth certificate and prove that he is a citizen. ***Scratches my Head*** Excuse me WHAT? You are making such a big deal of this NOW? He has been in office 2 years are you serious? O I get it this is so that you can have something to complain about. I believe it was more about his race than his birth certificate. So President Obama has presented his birth certificate for all to see. Now we will see what issue they will use next...........
Phylicia Barnes
I have really been dreading writing about this only because I REALLY wanted this situation to have a different outcome. Well for all who didn’t know the body of Phylicia Barnes was found floating in the Susquehanna River near the Conowingo Dam. She was found naked and her race could not be determined at that time they only knew that they had a female body. Well after a few hours into the investigation someone stated that she had a tattoo similar to that of Phylicia. While everyone watched the news holding their breath it was becoming obvious by the updates that they knew that it was the body of Phylicia. So watching and waiting the medical examiner requested her dental records. So while watching and waiting we all hoped that it wasn’t her. I scrolled through the articles about her disappearance and really became upset that no one would say anything and that everyone just sat in silence and watched this family suffer. I refuse to believe that no one saw anything. I than started to think of the positives, that her family didn’t give up and that they kept fighting to keep her everywhere. I thought of the 200 volunteers who helped search the Patapsco state park, and that helped to remind me that humanity is not completely lost. I applaud the Baltimore City Police that they kept searching and kept the case moving even when running into dead ends. So in the midst of all this playing out in my mind a breaking news alert comes across that screen Phylicia’s dad advised a NC TV station that it was her body that was found. So now the family has her and some form of closure. It makes me think about the distance between where she was and where she ended up, doesn’t make sense. How did she get there? How long has she been there? I know these are the same questions the family is asking. Well Today the Baltimore Homicide Investigators advised that her death has been ruled a homicide and that she was in fact murdered. They are not releasing how she was murdered or how they came to that conclusion, because it is important to the case. They have now started to re-interview anyone who was in that apartment the last night. They have also started interviewing family in and outside of Maryland. The police also state that they are open to the idea that more that one person was involved. I hope and pray that everyone that has something to do with what happen to this girl is caught and they get what is DUE to them. The funeral is private but it is being streamed for those that want to log on to pay their respects www.sbclive.org.

What Do You See In This Pic?
It has been a busy couple of weeks for the news outlets, which leaves a lot on Trouble’s mind. I am going to start with this photograph that is speaking volumes without narration. It was taking in the situation room during the seize of Osama Bin Laden’s compound. The looks of concentration and for Hillary Clinton covering her mouth she may have been shocked. It doesn’t show discord or the military making the move without their leadership it shows a concerted effort. A lot of the news outlets would have you believe that the military did the mission and than filled in the white house, but this pic shows the exact opposite of that. This lecture will be considered historical and will be discussed for years to come. I know that our president has been looked at to be to meek and some cases weak, but I have to admit that the President Obama has that silent but deadly thing going on. I LIKE IT! He should have said “don’t worry about what I am doing just know I am doing something”

*** THERE HAS BEEN AN UPDATE***

You Want To Teach My Kids WHAT?!?!?!
. California is trying to pass a bill that would add homosexuality, gay rights and the lesbian gay bisexual and transgender agenda to the curriculum and text books. I understand the need to have some things added into a curriculum for education. I believe that things like the holocaust, slavery, and the discovery of America needs to be taught. I agree that mathematics, Science, and English are important to learning and molding who you are and where you come from. I agree that children should be taught human rights and the struggle that have plagued mankind. I do not agree with a teacher explaining homosexuality, gay rights and the lesbian gay bisexual and transgender agenda to my children. I feel the same about sexual education I feel it is something that needs to be taught at home. With education being on the back burner due to budget cuts and our children being able to barely count and spell adding that to the curriculum should not be a priority. I understand that what’s happening with the Gay community is considered a civil rights issue, but it should be up to the parents. What grade would you teach such a thing? I understand that they want to marry and have the same rights as married couples, but what else is on the agenda? I have a few questions and this is such a broad spectrum that it could leave a lot to interpretation and a few other things that will not pertain to civil rights could end up being discussed. The US educational system is just above passing and can barely teach our children the basics to pass state assessments. Now for California a state that is bankrupt and giving out IOU’s for state income tax that is just ludicrous that this would be a priority for them. What’s next? Shaking My Head.
WHO HAS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS?
I have been considering getting a dummy e-mail, one that I would only use to sign up for services and shop online. I figured that would be a lot of help especially with all the advertisements.I just want to check my email without all the ads and stuff, and I have heard of companies being hacked before but never have I personally been affected until now. I received several emails from different companies that I shopped with online, or done some type of business online with them stating that the company that handles their email address has been compromised and that the ONLY thing that was taken was your email address and they may have had access to your name. The email than goes on to say that it’s not much that they can do but possibly spam your inbox which can be a minor nuisance but nothing to worry about. EXCUSE ME? I don’t like SPAM and you have no idea who accessed it and what kind of SPAM they will sending. So for all you know they could be sending out trojan worms to come for the computers in my home and the names in my address book. That is not a minor nuisance that is putting my computer, pictures, and files in danger. Not to mention money that I will have put into my investment (my computer) if it is compromised due to someone on your end not doing their job. So Epsilon don’t minimize how serious this really is and who is responsible…. WHEW!!! I JUST HAD TO RANT. I get enough spam. Its getting so that I wont be opening any emails on my own computer scared that one is the ticking time bomb…..So be careful of which emails you are opening ,because you don’t know who has your email address.
Government SHUT DOWN....REALLY?
Should we be worried about a government shut down? What would a government shut down entail? Well the last time the government shut down was in 1995 going into 1996. Well from my reading if the government shuts down national parks, museums, and monuments are closed to the public who helped to pay for them. Passports will not be process, but mail would be delivered. All work on federal cases such bankruptcies would halt and healthcare for vets would stop (HA!)Which I find to be terrible because these people fought so that you could be arrogant enough to shut down the government? After reading all the articles and getting both sides of the story it is just plain selfish to not consider the actual people who voted you in and will be affected. The republicans state that the president’s budget is smoke and mirrors and President Obama states the republicans have political initiatives in their proposal that will have a long term affect on American people. It seems as though both sides are standing on their beliefs and not bending or reaching a compromise and that there will be a government shutdown. So Friday close of business may be close of business for federal employees for awhile. If it happens I hope it is short term.I find this whole situation to be sad because in the midst of all of this you have federal employees who will be directly affected by these actions. There are some 800,000 federal workers whose livelihoods, homes, and families will be waiting in limbo without work until an agreement is made ….yeah this is a great way to boost the economy. I will not say that I understand politics 100% but I will say that allowing American citizens to suffer for personal agenda is selfish. I hope and pray that an agreement is met and that the situation is worked out.

Hello Fear
I can say that music has always been an outlet for me so I love good music. Gospel holds a special place in my heart and when it has a message that applies to what’s going on in my life it is just that more touching. So right now I have Kirk Franklins “Hello Fear” on repeat. It has truly been a comfort to my soul and he crosses all genre and traditional sounds from the Washington D.C. sound of GO-GO on “Before I die” to the international sound on “Give Me” featuring Mali music he even has a traditional cut called “The Altar”. Kirk Franklin has this way of being so sincere on his recordings that each one seems to be classic. I love how he bears his soul and uses his personal testimony to reach people. Hello fear is a classic in my book and as a writer Kirk Franklin is lining himself up to be one of the greatest. So if you haven’t heard it you should go get it. HELLO FEAR!
Here is "Before I die"
GO ORIOLES!
I am a home team fan and I am so excited that the Baltimore Orioles are off to a great start 4-0. I am excited because the orioles have had it rough these past few seasons and it would great to see them play out to their full potential and be celebrated. So GOOO ORIOLES!!!!
Southwest Landed?
Should we be questioning the way that airplanes are being inspected? I think so, because if a plane can be in the sky and hole can just open up while in the air that is a problem that started off very small. I read a report today that states that the federal inspection is not thorough and has a lot of loop holes that allowed things like that to happen. This plane has been inspected over 15 years and has 40,000 take-offs and landings. The federal inspector states that they have never inspected for this type of damage.Well I guess that is truewhy else would it have been able to open up in the air. The roof of the plane tore open at 30,000 feet so I hope now they realize that the WHOLE plane should be checked. I am glad that there were no fatalities and that besides being a little shook up everyone made it off the plane OK. The federal government is now revamping the inspection and have pulled all 737-300 to be inspected. So at least they were able to find out and prevent a possible disaster in the air Well I guess the best thing to do now is to pray before flying the friendly skies.
Are You In?
On April 4, 2011 President Barack Obama kicked off his re-election campaign and the emails and internet buzz started. The slogan and question “Are You In?” is everywhere. I have had face book friends and MySpace friends (didn’t know people still went on MySpace) post and emails come through to my inbox. So I know that the campaign has hit the ground running and I also know that he has some very loyal followers, but according to polls there are more people on the fence than ever and he now has to win them over and get them “IN”. His web site www.barackobama.com is full of information and you can link to your face book, twitter, tumblr, and some sites I am not acquainted with to receive updates and have the updates in your timeline. So it’s safe to say he has the social networks covered. Now all he has to do is be straight forward with his actions. I know that a lot of people are not excited about the US actions in Libya, but war tend to upset people. So he will be hitting the campaign trail hard trying to win votes that he lost and those he that he did not have.I am looking forward to seeing how things play out. I think that this next election might be quite nasty between parties, but only time will tell.So President Obama has his bid and I am waiting to see who else will announce their intentions to run for president.

Lets Toast to the A**holes!!!!!
NFL's WR Dez Bryant was kicked out of a Dallas mall when a security guard asked he and his friends to pull their pants up. Dez is reported to have responded with a verbal attack of profanity and obscenities which prompted security to issue a criminal trespassing warning and ban the athlete from the shopping mall for 90 days. Really, not pulling up his pants was that important to him..... Dez, this is for you......

Moment of silence
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain
- Why the early bird gets the worm
- Life isn't always fair
- Maybe it was my fault
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies:
- Don't spend more than you can earn
And reliable strategies:
- Adults, not children, are in charge
His health began to deteriorate when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Tylenol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when it became punishable for you to defend yourself from a burglar in your own home but the burglar could sue you for assault.
He began to lose ground rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 -year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his Daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To blame, and I'm A Victim.
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing...

Chris Brown vs Robin Roberts
***DISCLAIMER***
I in no way condone domestic violence, nor do I agree with a couple physically fighting to work out any situation.
So I tried to avoid this topic because this subject fuels strong emotions in women and it can enrage most men. Its touches a soft spot for most people and for those who have ever been on either side it’s a sore subject. But it’s a headline so I have to address it and I WILL give my opinion. With that being said R&B singer Mr. Chris Brown has once again found himself in a negative light in the media. Chris is doing a media sweep to promote his new album F.A.M.E. (For All My Enemies) and he was scheduled to do an interview with Robin Roberts from Good Morning America who has interviewed Chris several times in the past so this should be a piece of cake….UMMMM NOPE. Her first question goes back 2 years to the incident with Rhianna and asking how life is post this incident. Chris was initially very professional and very direct he stated that I have moved past that and I would like to discuss my album. Now keep in mind I understand this is probably considered a meaty piece if you can get him to open up on national television. I understand that being a journalist you want to have the best stories and of course to have him break down and get emotional about it would have been great for her career BUT there should be a line drawn between asking questions and interrogating someone. I watched the interview three times and for me she was just being a bully. We all should be held accountable for our actions and I agree that he deserved to go the court system and to have that scare, but who are we to continue to hold that against him especially only having one side of the story. I do not believe in a man placing his hands on a woman in a violent manner, but I do believe that a woman can provoke a man to anger. When the incident happen he was technically not even a man he was a teenager. So with the age factor and not knowing what actually happened maturity has a lot to do with how he responded to a situation. I have been a teenage girl who knew exactly how to push my boyfriends’ buttons and how to anger him so I do not believe that she was completely innocent in this situation especially since she confirmed that she hit him first. So with all of that being said yes he is in the public eye and the cost of his decision was a lot more expensive because it could have potentially harmed his career. At the point that the judge has even excused him everyone needs to back off. I do not feel as though his decision should be an excuse to persecute or badger him. He responded several times in the interview that he was there to talk about his album. Ms Roberts should have been more professional and taken the queue and moved on instead of trying to force a response. I will say that he needs to learn how to deal with issues without lashing out because each time he responds negatively he will be proving the naysayers right and smearing his own image. I also watched the GMA response to yesterday’s events and the invitation for him to come back on. Now I found that to be strange only because if you felt so threaten by his actions why would you have him come back unless you want to really provoke him and make headlines or this was a prime example of the media fabricating and blowing a very small situation into something major wouldn’t be the first time. Either way I need Chris Browns handlers to get on their job by protecting him and giving him better advice it shouldn’t be considered a bad thing to tell him to do the right thing it should be considered job security. Well I leave it with you please discuss
"F" yo momma, and "F" everybody in here!
OK, now im not that overly religious cat that cant take a joke but....
I'm just saying ......
If your grandmomma took you to church as a youngin like my grandmomma took me,
then you should know like I know.
Its time to pray for our churches

Where is Phylicia Barnes?
When you hear that a teenager has disappeared or is missing a lot of things come to mind. Maybe there was family disagreement and she left to blow off steam. Maybe she went to a friend’s house and didn’t tell family members where she was going. Teenagers are strange creatures and their habits can be very confusing so you just never know. As a parent you never want to think the worst. So when I first heard the story of Felicia Barnes being the parent of a teenager I said to myself maybe she is with friends. Than the news reports started to share details that just did not make sense. She is not from Baltimore she is from Monroe North Carolina and she was here visiting an older sister. She was left alone during the day while the sister was at work. Felicia updated her face book status to say that she was in the house with my sister’s boyfriend and that was last thing ever heard from her and that was on December 28, 2010. The police are saying that they believe foul play was involved but there have been no new leads or information. The police are baffled and are stuck, they have been pleading with the public for help. My heart goes out to the family because not knowing if she is ok and where she is has to be absolute torture. The odds of a missing African American teenager making national headlines are very slim they use this crazy point system for their stories and a missing African American teenager just doesn’t score high enough to make the slate for national news unlike a missing Caucasian Female. I will applaud the local media for keeping Phylicia in the headlines long enough to make sure that she made the national headlines. I will keep a close eye on this one and give updates as they come out. If you think that you have seen her Please contact 855-223-0033.
Who is Otis Rolley and what does he mean to Baltimore?
Well Otis Rolley was Baltimore City’s seventh planning director. He held that job from July 2003 until 2007. When he accepted the job he was the youngest director of a large city planning department in the US he held that job during the O’Malley administration. If you live in Baltimore he is also running for the office of Mayor. He believes that he holds the keys to improving Baltimore city and making things better. He feels as though he will be able to lower the city’s taxes, remodel City Hall, streamline property acquisition process for developers and implement the city’s master plan which he helped to push to policy when he was in his position. And it all sounds great at least the lower tax part, but as a working class citizen his other priorities sound a lot like BIG business. He has a great amount of followers who believe in his campaign and support whole heartedly. There is also a large group that oppose Mr.Rolley and all that he stands for. Some Baltimoreans state that working class Baltimore City residents are the last thing on his mind and that he is all about the almighty dollar. Citizen groups state that Mr Rolley sided with slum lords and predatory lenders, leaving the city’s homeowners to become the prey and victims of house flipping and ridiculous loans. Citizen groups state that concerns and valid issues were ignored when he was in his previous position. They say he would devalue the citizens input and side with and protect the lender (Citibank, Household finance to name a few). They say that he was the gate keeper who locked citizens out of those meetings. One leader states that it was not until question P that citizens City Hall took citizens seriously and allowed them to attend the house flipping and predatory lending task force meetings. So we all have a few things that we are not proud of and some people even make compromise for their positions. But when reading Mr. Rolley’s website he has manage to act as though those things never happened and that he will ride in like a Knight in shining armor to restore Baltimore City. I know plenty of Baltimore citizens want to see major change in city government, but we have to be careful and really pay attention to who is running. I do not expect to agree with every decision made in government but I want it to at least make sense. If contractors are at the top of the agenda doesn’t really play out well in my mind. Our votes can push Baltimore into a better place or make the situation as such that it will not be able to recover. Here is his website http://www.otisrolley.com/platform

Whos an "Uncle Tom"
ESPN aired a compelling documentary on the GREAT Michigan Fab Five the other night that almost brought me to tears. The story was amazing as if featured and shared an intimate look at 5 players that changed both the game and the face of basketball as we knew it. However, putting aside the shared pride, dissappointment, and revelation that it really wasnt Chris's fault, a new controversy was born.
Jalen Rose, member of the Fab Five was quoted as calling Dukes Grant Hill an "Uncle Tom" and a bitch. Here is Jalens' quotes:
"Schools like Duke didnt recruit players like me. I felt like they only recruited black players that were uncle toms." "I was jealous of Grant Hill. He came from a great black family. Congratulations! Your mom went to college and was roommates with Hilary Clinton. Your dad played in the NFL and was a very well spoken and successful man. I was upset and bitter that my mom had to bust her hump for 20 plus years. I was bitter that I had a profesional athelete that was my father that I didnt know. I resented that more so than I resented him. I looked at as..they are who the world accepts and we are who the world hates."
Jalen goes on to speak about the Duke Program and makes the claim that Duke and Coach K dont look for kids in the inner cities. Its a private school that goes after private school kids.
"My mom didnt have 15000 dollars to send me to high school" Jalen says.
"Duke would have never recruited me even today, maybe my kids, but never me"
Dukes Grant Hill is quoted as saying in response:
"It was a sad and somewhat pathetic turn of events, therefore, to see friends..calling me a bitch and worse, calling all black players at Duke "Uncle Toms" and to a degree disparaging my parents for their education, work ethic, and commitment to each other and to me. Jalen seems to have changed the meaning of those very vitriolic words into his own meaning, i.e., blacks from two parent, middle class families.
We are a people with a stolen history and a stolen culture. For centuries, we have been fed the lie that being black is synomous with being at the bottom, being last, weak, and sub par. However, when we transcend those stereotypes and defiantly succeed in a system not created for us, we are often called "Uncle Toms". While I emphysize with Jalen's emotion and understand his admited jealosy as it exposed his own pain, I have to question.......
By todays standards, what do you consider an "Uncle Tom"?

Baltimore History In Motion
I remember as a small child always seeing this gentleman running.I would say Daddy/Mommy there is that man again. I was always so curious as to why he ran all the time. You could be anywhere in the Baltimore City limits and have a possible sighting of this man.He has always been apart of Baltimore's scenerary.Looking back its been WELL over 30 years and he is STILL running. This picture was taken on 3/19/2011.
What Will Your Legacy Be?
With each passing day I have started to really focus on what I have done in my life. I have attended a few funerals which have really made me think and focus on LEGACY. What is it that I want my LEGACY to be ? I know when most see or hear the word LEGACY they jump to grand things , but it doesn’t have to be grand to have a great impact. I realized that when sitting through a funeral service and everyone in this particular funeral had a story where this person did something small but impacted there lives greatly. I want to help make the world a better place. I want to help and feed the homeless. I want to help teen mothers be independent. I want to fix all of the worlds woes…..but I know I will have to start off with a simple hello and smile and work my way up. So with that being said I challenge you and myself to BE NICE to a total stranger. Hold the door for someone struggling with bags. If your in line and someone is .50 cents short and you have it give it make someone’s day. I know ! Those aren’t big things those are small every day things. What about volunteering, and dedicating time and energy ? Those things are also important but I am going start off with something small. Because I know small things that are genuine grow to be BIG things unintentionally. Lets try to see if we can help make kindness contagious. Some of the greatest people that the world has seen didn’t set out to build a LEGACY they wanted to make a difference and inspired others to do the same. So for my LEGACY I want my efforts to make a difference no matter what the size. I want my LEGACY to be inspiring even if it only inspires a small few. I want my LEGACY to make my children proud. So instead of waiting until I am to old or its to late. I am going to take the opportunity to start now. How About You?
